just a thanks again for all your orders, would love to see some painted copies as and when you have them. Ill pick what I think is the best and send a free pack out to them. So in fact, I guess this is an announcement for a picture painting competetion. Lets say closing entry is the 7th of April. You will just need to send me your pics of my painted miniatures :)
On figure related news, Ive been working on some concept models and wondered what you thought of them? All comments welcome....well most of them are....:)
Anyhow, some of this is near and some of this is far away :) Feedback allways welcome
p.s - Im also playing around with the web design on this page. Its still not how I want it. I want buttons to go to a gallery, design section and order section. As you may tell, Im still learning.....
Thanks for sharing these concepts, it's always cool to see ideas in progress like this. I like the look of the turret quite a bit, it's very "tanky" but still near-future enough looking. As for the treads, hard to tell at this point, you know, being just treads and all. The ATG is cool too, I might expect a longer, bulkier barrel for a railgun, but it could fill a number of field gun roles. Getting the right blog look can always be tricky, so far so good!ReplyDelete
Treds indeed are treads. Its the bit on top thats exciting. That will be added when its closer to production. Secret squirrel and all that :)ReplyDelete
The gun barrel is being made chunkier and a little longer. Mostly so it will print better!
Well, despite what you think, the new blog design looks fine! I've got 5 of your minis nearly finished, and will post them on my blog by Sunday at the latest (I hope!) They are pretty nice to paint, but I'm not entirely sure about the colour scheme-see what you think!ReplyDelete
Looking forward to the pics!ReplyDelete
A friendly suggestion.ReplyDelete
If you want to make a cool IFV which doesn't look a lame copy of the German Hanomag 251, the american Bradley or the wheeled BTR series you can check out the BTR-T, the tracked heavy APC/IFV designed over the chassis of the T-54/55 series.
It looks real modern and futuristic and is not an overly familiar silouhette!
funnily enough, something like that is in the pipeline. Something else that was used in grozny were maximum firepower was needed with heavy armour. More in the future :)ReplyDelete
