The Xiangyu WZ993 APC

I've reworked the original 'print' ( it was still great) and provided a few new turret options. The original had some design flaws that were not that great when cast in resin. I had a very thin lip rim to the body, which looked nice was really fragile and easy to break. It just wasn't robust enough. I also created open hatches, rather then solid, which I think is nicer. So....I'm about to send this for reprinting, soon as I've made it watertight and the weapons are good.

This is the APC variant, which will carry two of the PLA infantry drones on it tops rear frame. They release when the troops disembark. Carries two fire teams of four men.

The second is the Zheng WZ994 MGS

Fully modular with a replacement Heavy Anti Matter Tank Gun

No date for readiness. I've three vehicles in front of the queue, however they are almost ready for ordering. I've a rather splendid painter working on two of them as we speak and some Russian 'whites' Infantry which were going to be dropped of at the production mold makers this evening...however work has just cancelled that!

Scots Guards (Stewart Regiment Hammers Slammers) Launch

A somewhat embarrassing moment .......

I thought id had the Scots Guards on sale for the past month and I started to think nobody and I mean nobody liked them as Id not sold a single one

Then Id realised Id forgotten to put them on my shop for sale...........It might be nobody wants them, however at least I've now a chance to sell them! :)

The troops are the Elite Light Infantry of the Commonwealth Forces and largely use the Regular armies kit. As light forces -later releases will provide light Anti Tank Shoulder Launched weaponry, GPMG teams, Sniper team, mortar, portable grenade launchers and the HQ squad. The HQ squad will come with the famous piper :)


More great news!.......

These troops are officially approved for Hammers Slammers to !:) They will supplement my Commonwealth forces and provide troops for the following factions.

WIP - Painting a BTR

Thought I would go through with a WIP of my latest model, the BTR 160. Ive chosen to mix the modules up on this one, I as wanted to test the modular method out. Ive taken an Engineers module and a Heavy APC and mixed them up.


First up the primer

First Airbrush with Vallejo Air Russian Tank Primer
Grey wheels and blade

Edge with a khaki mix colour
Add gloss coat
Add Mig Nato Vehicle wash

Add orange door
Add dirt - Mig dusts and fixer
Add rust (need to tone it down a little)
add decals
Spray with matt gloss


Next - The turrets   and crewman :)

The Russian Empire nears....

The Russian Empire is coming......
Couple more master spins and they will be ready for production molding and release! Figures out within two weeks or so and vehicles around an extra week or two.

The release will include Infantry packs, RPG packs, LMG packs.  A HQ squad , HMG Squad, AT squad and also the Bogatyr and Kurganet Vehicles :)

Im pleased with my paint job on this. Not brilliant but effective enough.

Assault landings....Royal Commonwealth Marines......indeedy

Every Marine needs a good Beach Landing Assault vehicle and here is mine. The light assault hovercraft will come in different varieties due to its modular nature, with both a fully enclosed cabin and a open crewed cabin. Further examples will carry heavier weapon loads, APC's , Power Armor Troops and specialized commando raiders .

Nick Kondratov has done a great job of taking my design and modelling it, all whilst starting his new degree (best of luck Nick:))

I have a bunch of releases to get out of the way over the next month and then Ill have bunch of new items off to printing and casting.

BTR 160....days away......for orders :)

I bring to you the popular and venerable BTR 160 made popular by the RUSK and Imperial 'White' Russians forces, once described as the most exported Military Vehicle in the Galaxies!
First up is the APC and then the rather nasty Katayusha rocket system. Sadly they wont make it for blast tastic, however ready in 2 weeks time for orders!

Brought to you by the same folks of Angel Barracks, It's a great place for discussion and news.  I've found everyone there to be very helpful and its totally about Wargames!  It also seems to be growing leaps-and-bounds every day!
