I rather like it. I think I'll even pinch it for the Mantic marines I'm planning to use in games of 40K. The Grey and the Sand work much better together than I would have expected. Hopefully it will work as well in 28mm scale.
Was trying to get the look of the Afrika Korp. Didn't really get it, however happy enough. I also had a lot of trouble with a new primer. Vallejo aerosol black. Not happy with it at all. Despite lots of shaking it covered to much detail so I went back to GW black.
Anyhow for variations the paints I used either ww2 German uniform or Russian uniform with a wet thick dry brush. Then either green grey or stone grey as a dry brush. Body armor is beige brown, with variants of Iraqi sand and dark sand. All Vallejo

ReplyDeleteDo you mind if I ask what shade of Grey did you use? It looks one of the Vellajo Model Green-Grey paints, but I'm not sure which one?
DeleteVery nice, Keith!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I think any scheme that has good contrast between the fatigues and the armor shows off these minis best.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I like the colour choice alot. I'm struggling for choices with my own 15mm stuff at the minute.
